Technical Visit to Eldivan Forest Management Chief from Food and Agriculture Vocational School Students
Çankırı Karatekin University Food and Agriculture Vocational School Forestry Department Hunting and Wildlife Program 1st year students visited Eldivan Forest Management Directorate, affiliated with Çankırı Forest Management Directorate, within the scope of practical training activities.
During the technical trip, which was held to contribute to the development of students' professional knowledge and skills in the field, comprehensive information about forestry activities and forest fire fighting processes was shared. In the information program carried out by technical personnel who are experts in their fields, the planning, implementation and supervision processes of forestry activities were explained in detail.
Within the scope of the visit, students; Information was given in the field about collective protection center practices, stamp procedures, production activities, rejuvenation activities, fire fighting methods, precautions taken against fire risk, the relationship between wildlife and forest ecosystem, and practices against forest and hunting crimes. Additionally, the equipment and tools used in responding to forest fires were introduced and evaluations were made about the coordination processes carried out during disasters.
During the technical trip, students had the opportunity to observe the knowledge they acquired in theoretical training in the application field, and also had the opportunity to examine the importance of forestry activities in terms of protection of natural resources and sustainable environmental management.
Authorities pointed out that sustainable forest management is of great importance not only for the protection of natural resources, but also for the continuity of biodiversity and the protection of wildlife.
At the end of the program, the students expressed that practical training contributed significantly to their professional development and thanked the officials who contributed to the technical trip.
