Miniature Art Exhibition Met with Art Lovers

"Miniature Art Painting Exhibition" organized by Çankırı Karatekin University Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture Painting Department was presented to the visitors at the Painting Department Exhibition Hall between 12-15 May 2026.

Dr. one of the faculty members of the Department of Painting. Prepared under the coordination of Murat Kalafat, the exhibition brought together the aesthetic and narrative features of traditional Turkish miniature art with art lovers from the perspective of contemporary art education. In the works included in the exhibition, students contributed to the meeting of cultural heritage with today's understanding of art by reshaping the original expression language and visual richness of miniature art with their own artistic interpretations.

Within the scope of the exhibition, it was aimed to transfer traditional arts to future generations, develop students' cultural and artistic awareness, strengthen their visual memory and support their creative expression skills. The works prepared by the students attracted attention from the visitors by reflecting the fine workmanship, rich compositional understanding and historical depth of miniature art.

The opening of the exhibition was held on May 12, 2026 by the Dean of the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture, Prof. Dr. Ersoy Yılmaz, academic staff, students and guests. Participants who examined the works exhibited at the opening expressed their satisfaction with the students' interpretation of traditional art heritage with original approaches.

Prepared with the idea of ​​"a small world, a big heritage", the exhibition offered visitors the opportunity to build an artistic bridge between the past and the present by making visible the aesthetic accumulation of miniature art hidden in the details. The exhibition was appreciated by art lovers as one of the important events contributing to the cultural and artistic activities of the university.
