ÇAKÜ's Scientific Success Has Been Registered in the Global Arena
Assoc. Prof., Çankırı Karatekin University, Faculty of Science, Department of Chemistry. Dr. Melike Bilgi Kamaç was accepted as a full member of Sigma Xi, one of the most respected scientific honor societies in the world, with her qualified scientific studies in the field of analytical chemistry and biosensor technologies.
Çankırı Karatekin University Faculty of Science Department of Chemistry Analytical Chemistry Department faculty member Assoc. Dr. Melike Bilgi Kamaç was accepted as a member of "Full Member" status by Sigma Xi (The Scientific Research Honor Society), one of the most prestigious scientific honor societies in the world.
Sigma Xi, headquartered in the United States; It stands out as a well-established research community that includes more than 200 Nobel Prize-winning scientists who shaped the history of science, such as Albert Einstein, Enrico Fermi and Francis Crick. Assoc. Dr. Melike Bilgi Kamaç was invited for full membership to the community due to her original and qualified contributions to the international science literature in the field of analytical chemistry and biosensor technologies.
Being accepted as a full member of Sigma Xi is considered an important indicator at the international level that the researcher produces independent, innovative studies that lead to scientific developments in his field of science.
Assoc. Dr. Melike Bilgi Kamaç and her research team are conducting studies on the rapid, sensitive and practical detection of ovarian cancer biomarkers and neurotransmitters. The electrochemical biosensor systems developed by the team contribute to the development of technologies called "Point-of-Care Testing" in the field of healthcare, which enable results to be obtained in a short time without the need for a laboratory environment.
These innovative biosensors, which have a disposable structure and can perform multiple analyzes at the same time, have a significant potential, especially in the early diagnosis of cancer and monitoring neurological processes.
Assoc. Prof. who completed the Sigma Xi membership process. Dr. Melike Bilgi Kamaç made the following statements in her evaluation of the success she achieved:
"I am very proud and happy to be elected as a full member of Sigma Xi, one of the most established and respected scientific honor societies in the world. It is extremely valuable for us that our disposable electrochemical biosensor studies, which we developed in our laboratory, which enable the early diagnosis of ovarian cancer and the rapid determination of neurotransmitters, are appreciated internationally. We continue to produce advanced research in the field of analytical chemistry and biosensor technologies under the roof of Çankırı Karatekin University, and to successfully represent our university and our country on international platforms with our scientific work." “We will continue with determination.”
Assoc. Prof. along with Sigma Xi full membership. Dr. While Melike Bilgi Kamaç was included in the international scientific network of more than 100 thousand distinguished researchers around the world, she benefited from the community's research support programs, international scientific cooperation opportunities and American Scientist had the opportunity to benefit from the right of access to the magazine.
