Our University's Faculty of Engineering, Department of Computer Engineering, Lecturer Dr. Lecturer It is carried out by a team of 4 people, under the consultancy of member Seda Şahin. "AI-BASED RISK ASSESSMENT SYSTEM FOR AIRSPACE SECURITY" The study titled was among the 674 studies selected from 8,320 applications from around the world and 1,810 applications from Turkey at the 77th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026).
The project combines deep learning and object detection technologies with airspace security.
The event, which will be held in our country for the first time this year in Antalya between 5-9 October 2026, is organized by the International Astronautical Federation (IAF). In the organization hosted by the Turkish Space Agency (TUA) and co-hosted by SAHA Istanbul, 604 member institutions from 82 countries will come together. The congress aims to consolidate Turkey's role in the global space ecosystem while bringing together countries and sectors in the field of space technologies.
