Rector Karataş Participated in the “Internationalization in Higher Education Consultation Meeting 2026”
Çankırı Karatekin University Rector Prof. Dr. Mevlüt Karataş attended the "Internationalization in Higher Education Consultation Meeting 2026" organized in cooperation with the Council of Higher Education and Ankara University.
At the top; Topics such as the global competitiveness of universities, international student policies, academic collaborations and new visions in higher education were discussed.
The meeting was held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Ankara University Cebeci Campus, Faculty of Law, Cemil Bilsel Conference Hall; YÖK Deputy Chairman Prof. Dr. Naci Gündoğan, Rector of Ankara University Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar, Rector of Çankırı Karatekin University Prof. Dr. Mevlüt Karataş, university rectors, academicians and business people attended.
The opening speeches of the program, which started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem, were made by Ankara University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar and YÖK Deputy Chairman Prof. Dr. It was performed by Naci Gündoğan.
Making evaluations about the meeting, Rector Karataş stated that comprehensive consultations were held on topics such as international student policies, collaborations between universities, employment of academics, international rankings, support mechanisms for the education sector and global competition in higher education.
