UFEST, Bringing Young People Together with the World of Technology and Transportation, Started at ÇAKÜ
UFEST, one of Turkey's most comprehensive festivals that brings together young people with innovations in technology, transportation and infrastructure, started with intense participation at Çankırı Karatekin University Uluyazı Campus.
The festival, organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, opened its doors to its visitors on Wednesday, May 20, at Çankırı Karatekin University Uluyazı Campus Tuzluk Cafe Foyer Hall.
Çankırı Governor Hüseyin Çakırtaş, Çankırı Karatekin University Rector Prof. attended the opening program of the festival, which attracted great interest from university youth. Speaking at the opening of the festival, Rector Prof. Dr. Mevlüt Karataş stated that Çankırı Karatekin University hosted an important organization and stated that the festival organized by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure in universities has been held in many universities before, and today it continues at ÇAKÜ with comprehensive events that will last three days.
Emphasizing that the main purpose of the festival is to introduce the services, technological developments and projects carried out in the field of transportation and infrastructure in Turkey to the academic community and students, Karataş said that various technological applications and simulations will be introduced at the stands of the general directorates affiliated to the Ministry within the scope of the festival.
Stating that the organization offers important opportunities for students in terms of career planning, internship and collaboration opportunities, Karataş stated that the festival creates a valuable environment for academics to develop joint projects and establish new academic collaborations.
Stating that he believes that the festival will contribute to information sharing, the emergence of new ideas and the development of productive collaborations, Karataş noted that they were pleased that UFEST, which attracted great attention in the universities where it was held, was welcomed with intense participation in Çankırı.
In his speech, Karataş hoped that the festival organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and Çankırı Karatekin University would lead to beneficial results, and stated that Turkey has reached an important point in the field of transportation and that such organizations held in the light of science and technology contribute to the construction of a strong future.
Following the speech of Rector Karataş, the opening of UFEST was attended by Çankırı Governor Hüseyin Çakırtaş, Rector Prof. Dr. It was carried out by Mevlüt Karataş and protocol members.
After the opening, protocol members visited the stands in the festival area and were informed about the activities of the institutions. Within the scope of the festival, projects in the fields of transportation, communication, infrastructure and technology were introduced to young people.
During the festival, which will continue between 20-22 May 2026, students will not only have the opportunity to get to know the institutions; At the same time, they will have the opportunity to closely examine the projects that shape Turkey's future. The interviews, promotional events, simulation experiences and interactive applications held within the scope of the festival also attract great attention from the participants.
At the festival organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure; PTT, State Railways, Türksat, General Directorate of Highways, State Airports Authority, Information Technologies and Communication Authority (BTK), TÜRASAŞ and many important institutions come together with students with their stands.
