Rice Planting with Microbial Fertilizer Application was Held in Kızılırmak
Planting activities planned within the scope of the 2026 paddy production season were carried out on the application land in Kızılırmak district by Çankırı Karatekin University Vocational School of Food and Agriculture.
Within the scope of the studies, Max Provise rice variety was planted on June 3, 2026. Before planting, microbial fertilizer was applied to the seeds to support plant development and increase productivity.
Making evaluations about paddy cultivation, Director of Vocational School of Food and Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Kuşvuran stated that the 2026 production season started with a delay compared to previous years due to the effect of climatic conditions, and said, "This year, the planting process was slightly delayed due to excessive rainfall and cool weather conditions that were effective in our region as well as throughout the country. With the climatic conditions becoming suitable, field preparations were completed and the 2026 paddy production season was started." he said.
Prof. Dr. Kuşvuran stated that the microbial fertilizer applied before planting is used to support early plant development, increase output power and encourage biological activity in the root zone. In practice; Lactobacillus lactis, Lactobacillus diacetylactis, Lactobacillus cremoris, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bacillus subtilis, Lactiplantibacillus plantarum, Rhodopseudomonas palustris And Kluyveromyces marxianus He stated that microbial fertilizer containing beneficial microorganisms such as was used.
Microbial applications carried out before planting in rice farming; Kuşvuran emphasized that they support the germination performance of seeds, seedling development and root formation, and noted that these practices also contribute to plants' more effective use of nutrients. He stated that supporting soil biological activity is important for sustainable agriculture, especially in areas where rice has been produced for many years.
Stating that high yield, quality product, strong seedling development and healthy plant emergence are aimed in the 2026 production season with the application carried out in Kızılırmak district, Kuşvuran said that irrigation, weed control, fertilization and other maintenance processes will be followed regularly in the post-planting period, and the production process will be carried out in line with scientific principles.
The study carried out is considered an important step in terms of integrating biologically based and sustainable agricultural practices into the production process to increase the efficiency and quality of rice production in the region.
As Çankırı Karatekin University, we wish all farmers producing paddy in the region a productive, fruitful and successful production season.
