Prof. Dr. İbrahim Bozkurt is originally from Sivas and was born in Istanbul in 1983 and completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Istanbul.
In 2005, he graduated from Gazi University, Faculty of Commerce and Tourism Education, Department of Accounting and Finance Teaching, by entering the university's "high honor" list. Between 2005 and 2009, he worked as an accounting group teacher in Gemlik district of Bursa province. He completed his master's degree in 2008 at Sakarya University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Business Administration, Department of Accounting-Finance.
In 2009, he started working as a lecturer at Çankırı Karatekin University. Then, in 2013, he received his PhD degree from Gazi University, Institute of Social Sciences, Accounting-Finance Department, and in the same year, he was appointed as an assistant professor at Çankırı Karatekin University. Following his application for associate professorship in the 2015-October period, he was given the title and authority of University Associate Professor in the field of "Finance" by the Interuniversity Board on 27.02.2017.
BOZKURT, who worked as an "Associate Professor" at Çankırı Karatekin University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Finance and Banking between 2017 and 2022, was appointed as a "Professor" in the same department in 2022.
During his academic career, he held many administrative positions such as Head of Department, Head of Department, Vice Dean, Director of Vocational School and Advisor to the Rector. He also served on various boards and commissions.
His academic studies in finance focused on topics such as investments and portfolio management, financial markets and institutions, and behavioral finance. Prof. Dr. İbrahim BOZKURT has articles published in indexed journals such as SSCI, ESCI, Scopus, TR-Dizin, national/international books, papers presented at national/international scientific meetings, and awards.
Prof. Dr. İbrahim BOZKURT is married with two children and was appointed as the Vice Rector of Çankırı Karatekin University on 12.09.2025.
