Year-End Event Held with Cultural Ambassadors at ÇAKÜ DİLMER
Rector Prof. Dr. Mevlüt Karataş said, “We graduate our international students from Çankırı Karatekin University not only with academic achievements, but also as cultural ambassadors who return to their countries with the knowledge of Turkish culture and civilization values.”
An end-of-year event was organized by Çankırı Karatekin University Language Education Application and Research Center (DİLMER) with the participation of international students studying at the center.
The event held in a recreation area in the city center was attended by Çankırı Karatekin University Rector Prof. Dr. Mevlüt Karataş, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. M. Nuri Öner, DİLMER Director Lecturer. See. Dr. Salih Potukoğlu, academicians and international students attended.
At the event, which was held in a friendly and warm atmosphere, the participants first had breakfast together. After breakfast, the 2025-2026 academic year was evaluated and the academic and social achievements of the students throughout the year were discussed.
Within the scope of the program, students and academics participated in social events by playing various games. The event, which allowed students from different countries to come together and socialize, contributed to the strengthening of cultural interaction and solidarity.
Speaking at the event, Çankırı Karatekin University Rector Prof. Dr. Mevlüt Karataş stated that he was very pleased to come together with international students at the end of the year event after an intense, productive and full academic year. Stating that they see internationalization as one of their strategic goals as a university, Karataş said that students from different geographies make significant contributions to the academic and cultural richness of Çankırı Karatekin University.
Emphasizing that they consider international students not only as students, but also as cultural ambassadors who build bridges of love between their countries and Turkey, Karataş said, "We attach importance to our students getting to know Turkish culture, traditions, understanding of hospitality and our social values in addition to the academic education they receive here. In this regard, we continue to organize events that will contribute to their social, cultural and personal development. We believe that they will become volunteer representatives of Turkey and Çankırı Karatekin University when they return to their countries or work in different parts of the world." he said.
Congratulating the students for their efforts and success throughout their education process, Karataş stated that the studies carried out within DİLMER make significant contributions to international students learning Turkish effectively, facilitating their adaptation processes to Turkey and establishing healthy communication with different cultures, and thanked the DİLMER management, academic staff and students who contributed to the organization of the event.
